It's strange you post this, as i just did exactly the same about 15 minutes ago!

Does yours seem to bump every few seconds, as if there's a lump on the tyre or something?

Hope it's nothing serious! Crying or Very sad

Mine does something similar on full lock. Have you put wider tyres on? Mine has only ever done it with the wider tyres.

i noticed today that offside front tyre is directional tread and the nearside is normal (cross tread)

Could this cause problems, it feels like one wheel is turning more than the other and kind of fighting against each other (like a locked diff)

I dont know if its meant to be like this???

had a similar problem, check all your wheel nuts first but for me it was a b*ggered CV joint, your problem sounds very similar to mine. easiest option would be to figure which side its coming from (find a carpark and get full lock left and then right) and then replace that side of the driveshaft. possibly pricey but better that it failing completley and falling apart... mine also had been doing this, thought the cv joint was knackered but turns out my wheel hub was cracked

Resolution

I had 2 new tires fitted today to the front and the problem seems to Have stopped.

I think the problem was caused by having a good tire and a cheap tire. One was gripping more than the other.
