Im just after the weight difference between a 2.0 petrol and diesel, as ive just got hold of some 25mm eibach springs and shocks from a GTI

so in theory if the diesel has more weight the car will be lower than the 25mm?

What He Said

think the EW10 is aluminium block while the DW10 is cast iron block

I wouldn't expect a big difference. Remember the springs need quite a while to settle too.

Mine didn't settle ever. Lowered it exactly 30mm and stayed there.

The Pro Kit springs are for the 1.4HDi and GTi aren't they?

I'll try and have a look, might be the whole RFN/RFR thing. Off the top of my head the serial number is in a different place on the alloy to the cast

All EW10 engine are alloy. RFN/RFR just means the addition of a 2nd lambda sensor.

I've definitely read on servicebox some are alloy and some are cast.
