Hiya

I know airbag faults have been covered quite a bit but I'm more after some safety advice before i go killing myself by accidently setting my airbag off!! (I've heard its happened before!)

Basically, I've had my car for just over 3 years and about a year and a bit ago my airbag fault started coming up and in time so did my anti pullution and abs faults... it was like my car was singing to me with alll the beeps!!!.... anyway, abs fault was cured once a broken sensor ring was replaced on my drive shaft... thanks taxi driver coming onto my side of the road forcing me to hit a high curb at 30miles an hour!.... anyways... antipollution fault disappeared after having my clutch done :-/ weird!
So now I am left with my airbag light, and now it has been on solidly for a year I have decided it is time to investigate!

I've read about what wires to check.... but.... is there anything i need to do before i go fiddling with airbag wires?! And any other advice would be greatly recieved.... oh and my ex did unplug the seatbelt warning wire under the drivers seat but the airbag fault was already coming up prior to this, but could plugging this back in help at all? (probably not but thought i would mention it!)

Thanks Very Happy

yes, disconnect the battery first before playing with any wire

A common fault is the airbag wires for the seats, under the seats come undone. Easiest thing would to be get fault codes read.
