you can do it to the 8v 1.4 but u need heat paint and u need to change the rocker cover gasket if u do it the easy way and take the rocker cover off to paint it i am goin to do mine closer summer i think

looks great, im thinking of doing mine red. What paint did you use, and would it be possible to get a glossy kind of finish to it rather than it ening up a matt colour?

nope i just used halfords aegean blue and black and some clear lacquer, so far had not problems, the cover itself doesn't seem to get to hot

i use some gloss lacquer and give it several coats depending on what I'm doing, there's a really good how to on here to get that glossy finish

Looks well,I done mine in black hammerite on Friday it's only the 1.1 engine but looks ok as the silver rocker top had become abit rusty .
