Very dim clock and stereo not working.

Went to test drive my 206 1.4 hdi 02 plate today and noticed the clock display was really dark. If you covered the screen and really looked you could see the numbers and it scrolled through correctly. Does this sound like a bulb problem. Also the stereo didn't turn on, don't know if it's linked but I'm not fussed about the stereo as I'm going to change it.

I was hoping for a mpg display but it looks like its the clock, temp display only.

Either your brightness is set really low (hold the left hand knob on the dash beside the dials) or you need to replace the bulbs, replacing the bulbs is easy, think there's 3 or 4 little bulbs behind it.

Yeah, you need to change the bulb on the top. Fairly simple job, I'm sure there's a how-to on here in the how-to section.

Stereo is possibly not getting any electrical feed, but if you're changing it anyway, I wouldn't worry about it.

Cheers for the replies and the link to the how to. Definitely the bulbs or solder as I tried turning up the display and it didn't change.
