#1: Offside driveshaft bearing Author: lenbt, Location: BirminghamPosted: Mon Jan 09, 2012 8:29 am ---- I noticed the other day the car was leaking gearbox oil from where the right hand drive shaft enters the gearbox. so draind the gearbox oil out...only abou half a pint left in there!
I assumed the oil seal was duff but it looked fine when i removed it.
I noticed that when I went to remove the driveshaft it wasnt held in place at the intermediate bearing it just pulled straight out. Its supposed to be right?
Are the two bolts as it passes through the engine mount assembly supposed to hook around the bearing to hold the shaft into the box ?
The ends of these two bolts seem to have sheered off a bit, can there be brought seperatly?
Any help is much apreciated
Thanks
