I had a look on the halfords system at work today for my friends 206 1.6 2001 cc and it said the battery was an 013 battery but in mine i put a 012 i just wanted to check that it's defiantly an 013 not an 012 before i give it too them

i use HSB013.

what's the difference anyway?

it fit into the battery box and i can close the lid no problem at all.

Halfords batteries are well over priced .. try a local parts outlet or the web!

2.0i CC is a 027 type battery ... must be a smaller one in the 1.6 version.


PS Halfords are also known to get the numbers wrong!!

From what I've read the battery on a 1.6 CC is slightly taller than a normal 206
Just been to see wht's on my CC but couldn't see the number as the bracket's covering it

I got a Bosch battery for less than £40 for mine...

013 is for like a derv and way to big in physical size for the petrol.

Does it matter?

I run the battery about three times the original size and 8 times bigger CCA, and i have no issues

So i wouldnt worry tbh

Mines the Varta D15 which is exactly the same battery as your Bosch.

Starts my TU3 easily enough Laughing

I always go for the most powerful one that will fit in the battery box with the longest warranty.
