#1: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Wed Jan 11, 2012 3:02 am ---- Its that time of year when we need to be thinking about a 206info stand at FCS.
Usually what happens on here is someone organises the stand, makes all the arrangements and gets all the abuse..... I just dont want to miss out on this literary fun so have decided to have a go myself.
If you are up for going to Donington Park circuit for this years FCS and fancy a blast round the famous circuit or putting your car on a club stand simply fill in the poll. If there are enough people interested I will get the ball rolling.
As discussed before, If enough of you support the rally at Brands Hatch on 22nd Jan I can guarantee a very good pitch for the show.
#2: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: Abzynthe, Posted: Wed Jan 11, 2012 4:03 am ---- Nice one Mac
Even though last years show wasnt as good as i expected, I cant let that affect my judgement for this year as its at a new venue and new things are planned for it.
And I appreciate you putting your time in to do this
As for the rally, Im sorry, I cant make it. Good luck though!
#3: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: Andrew, Location: Black Country Ay IPosted: Wed Jan 11, 2012 7:47 am ---- I'm down for a stand, and track time Been looking at the ticket booking page, when you select a stand pass 206info is already on the list
#4: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Wed Jan 11, 2012 7:54 am ---- Correct..... its down to the number of cars we can confirm are going.... As you can imagine the organisers dont want a big hole in what could be a prime pitch......
With over 7500 members I am expecting the poll to show at least 50% of those people have voted one way or the other. I am taking into account those who hate shows or are busy.
There will be those that wont be up until midday so would miss it, there are those who have trouble washing their messy hand because their wrists ache and there will be those keyboard terrorists that dont even have a license let alone a car.
All that said I have a very good feeling about this new venue

On the booking page it just asks how many slots you want, just like last year, I don't know if you get to pick what times on the next page or not
I am looking forward to it this year, I enjoyed it last year despite the bad rep!
#10: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Wed Jan 11, 2012 9:02 am ---- you get to pick your slots later in the menu
#11: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: Rob2859, Location: HalifaxPosted: Wed Jan 11, 2012 9:08 am ---- I will be there if I can.

Even if 50% of the active members voted, you'd be lucky to get 100 votes
#17: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Wed Jan 11, 2012 10:21 am ---- you misunderstand me sir........If I get 50% of people voting I can expect the poll votes to be in the 3k region.... whether it be positive or negative makes no difference to me

p.s i will be there as usuall with track time, but this will be my first year without 206info, im going with clio197.net

Which one? there are a couple still on the site.
I will be there, with stand for me even though there was little organisation last year I still had a good time catching up with members old and new. So with organisation should get back to being the best show of the year for info?
#22: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: Rob2859, Location: HalifaxPosted: Wed Jan 11, 2012 7:55 pm ---- I know about the old one. I mean did anyone donate towards a new one?
#23: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: Frost, Location: OxfordPosted: Fri Jan 13, 2012 1:45 pm ---- I'll be there and hopefully on stand if i'm allowed, does the site camp or does everyone just turn up on the day?
#24: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Sat Jan 14, 2012 5:36 am ---- Most turn up on the day but there is camping available locally I think.... it will be on the website
#25: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: Frost, Location: OxfordPosted: Sat Jan 14, 2012 8:25 am ---- fair enough i camp for FCS every year, just woundered if the club did,

#27: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Mon Jan 16, 2012 7:46 am ---- Surely there must be a few more on here who have a vote and a comment to make....... it would be a rare thing if this thread remained unmolested by keyboard warriors

You need to click the back button on your browser matey
#31: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Mon Jan 16, 2012 8:52 am ---- That falls under the "no" button. I was going to include a button for the degenerate few who did not grasp the concept of "yes" and "no" but thought I wouldnt need it
..............how wrong can you be
#32: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: D4NTP, Location: Not Leeds or its surrounding areas!Posted: Mon Jan 16, 2012 9:43 am ---- Haha, it was purely in response to your previous post requesting that keyboard warriors step up!
Although a 'not attending' would have been useful considering what you actually asked for ar the start of this.
#33: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Mon Jan 16, 2012 11:03 am ---- I agree, but isnt it fun when you really dont give a flying f**k who attends unless its those that really make a difference on here...... and they are few and far between
The main reason I put the poll up was to see if people really bothered about it one way or another...... I do understand the "fun" issue involved in prank posting... I love it too but there are those out there who spend their whole time on here spreading negative dribble.... its to those I target my response......"you dont matter to me"
I am in the fortunate position of being able to engage in my hobby of fast cars and rallying without needing anyones approval or rebuff and I am sure there are those that know me who will tell you I show it.
#34: Re: A stand at FCS 2012 Author: D4NTP, Location: Not Leeds or its surrounding areas!Posted: Mon Jan 16, 2012 11:40 am ---- It would be a lonely old day with 6 people on the stand.....unless you include the people that are sociable and make other laugh on this site.....in which case it will be a tad better with 12....
