Ok So can your speedo do this while the car is idle?

Basically my speedo needle jammed today at 15mph whilst idle, and when i had turned the car off it went down to 5mph. The needle however when accelerating, did ascend and i had to calculate the speed i was doing by minusing 15mph. Its quiet confusing and has only started today. The needle did reset after turning the car off several times which gradually brought the needle back down to 0mph, and i could then get a normal speed reading, however this has happend twice today, and i think that its going to happen alot more often. I have a V Reg 206 1.4 8v with 67k on the clock. I am unsure what to do at the moment...

I have done some searches regarding this but other topics don't have much information.

I dont know how to upload pictures, otherwise i would have uploaded them

Someone posted the link last week I think, cant seem to find it at the moment.

Ive never replaced one yet so no idea of how hard it is.

Cheap non plexed cluster of Ebay & rob the drive unit out of it for yours, you will also have a spare as the rev counter uses the same part Laughing
