#1: Gearbox Failure!!!!!! Author: andrew206gti, Location: Crediton, DEVONPosted: Fri Jan 13, 2012 8:50 am ---- Hi all i hope im posting in the right section, sorry if its not. Here goes. Last friday on my way to work i was driving along nice a sensible and without warning the gearbox blew itself to pieces. i managed to get towed to my local garage and they cant find a 2nd hand replacement gearbox. this is a big problem because they want to get a reconditioned gearbox which is gonna cost me £1100 fitted.
So im wandering if there is someone on here that can tell me will all 206gti gearboxes fit and work on my 206 gti or is they any differences between them which will cause problems?
hope to hear from someone soon
please help i dont want to scrap it if i can help it
