#1: 206 xsi Author: deks, Location: East KentPosted: Fri Jan 13, 2012 1:50 pm ---- What are the plus's to a 206 xsi I have the chance to get my hands on an 04 plate with some damage just not sure its worth the |£500 they want for it has quarter damage and o/s front are the parts anymore sort after on an xsi over other models? it does have vortex alloys on though one looks damaged and full leather
if repaired are these sort after ? as all in the trade down here say to stay away from 206's with bigger than 1400cc engines as no one wants them but I would have thought the xsi might be different
any thoughts please?

I have owned my 54 plate from new and covered 45.000 miles, no failures other than the drop links that required replacement
Its also quite good on fuel if you don't thrash it
Been a great car never let me down once

repaid it will be worth around £1600 quid??
if the vortexs are in good condition they can fetch 300+ so sell them to pay for the repairs and your quids in

A green 206 with a gash interior is more sought after? Aye, if your on class A's
Vortex's aren't worth that much now, unless they are mint. Fit a standard set of wheels and widen your buyer market.

With it being the only 1.6 16v engine availible (except the sport model which came later I think) there good for people who can't really afford the insurance on the 2.0 litre but still want that bit of power. I love mine
#6: Re: 206 xsi Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Sun Jan 15, 2012 1:08 pm ---- Xsi's are really nice cars, ive had one for about 4 months and love it to bits.
But last week of driving her till i get my scooby, sad but happy times
#7: Re: 206 xsi Author: James_sinovi, Location: ManchesterPosted: Sun Jan 15, 2012 1:22 pm ---- I have owned my XSI for around a year and a half. Only thing I would say that lets the car down is the gearbox, I find the gear ratios and the fact it develops very little power low down means if you want to go fast you have to keep it on cam - which costs rather alot in petrol. But I guess that's somewhat unavoidable with a small engine. Handles well though - reminds me of the 205 GTI.

205 GTI should p**s all over a 206 XSI for handling.
Only area the 206 would beat it is braking.
#9: Re: 206 xsi Author: James_sinovi, Location: ManchesterPosted: Sun Jan 15, 2012 3:21 pm ---- sorry didnt mean to imply it was in anyway better than a 205 just that to me it feels similar.

#12: Re: 206 xsi Author: deks, Location: East KentPosted: Mon Jan 16, 2012 6:29 am ---- thanks for the advice Guys, kind of answered my queries, for some strange reason I thought the parts were more sort after than they are. Never mind I bought it anyway
#13: Re: 206 xsi Author: deks, Location: East KentPosted: Mon Jan 23, 2012 1:44 pm ---- finally got delivery of it today its only taken them10 days bonus find was carbon fibre look mirror caps (and not wrap) plue the leather is in very good condition added to the fact it has vortex alloys albeit in need of a refurb I am going to break it so watch out on ebay over the coming weeks for the parts
#14: Re: 206 xsi Author: phillspug, Location: LeicestershirePosted: Mon Jan 23, 2012 1:50 pm ---- The carbon mirror caps are probably off a 180

thanks for that still learning about 206's at least that would explain the genuine peugot tag and part numbers underneath
