blue smoke when starting

can anyone help when i start my 206 1.4hdi from cold it blows out quit alot of blue smoke. but when its warm and running it seems fine.

Isn't that caused by it burning oil from a failed gasket or seal.

Seems normal for a diesel.

Depends what he means by a lot though.

Maybe a picture or short vid?

If its burning oil it could be the piston rings or what has already been said.
