#1: 1.1 MPG Author: Davies, Location: ManchesterPosted: Fri Jan 20, 2012 2:49 am ---- Hi Guys,
Seems my 1.1 is guzzling petrol, what is the standard miles people are getting to a tank on it. I can get betweem 200-300, but it just seems to guzzle.
#2: Re: 1.1 MPG Author: Hereford, Location: Mancheter AreaPosted: Fri Jan 20, 2012 2:55 am ---- Get ya self a HDI 2.0
I've had a 206 HDI D Turbo 500-560miles for £62
My SW HDI SXI 2.0 gives around 500-510 for the same £62
You cant beat a HDI dude

Reason your insurance is so high is because its a 206 & your 17.
Insurance companies see those 2 details & know there is a 50 / 50 chance of a total loss claim sooner or later going on past claims for the 206.
If you actually think outside the box & buy a car young people dont normally own / drive you would find the insurance a lot cheaper
#5: Re: 1.1 MPG Author: danlouiee, Location: Plymouth, DevonPosted: Fri Jan 20, 2012 3:38 am ---- I fill mine to the brim, average 50 miles to an 8th of a tank, I can get 350-400 to a tank, thats with a k&n panel filter too. If I thrash it 300-350:)

MrBsi, Why would I want anything but a 206!? Once you've fell in love you never go back!

Owning 1 x 206 is enough for most smart people, there are a lot better & nicer cars to drive / own out there

#9: Re: 1.1 MPG Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Fri Jan 20, 2012 4:02 am ---- Everytime after i've borrowed my mum's Mondeo & then get back in to my 206, you realise just how heavy, noisy & clunky 206's are to drive.

#11: Re: 1.1 MPG Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Fri Jan 20, 2012 4:11 am ---- My TU3 206 is fine for what it gets used for, when it eventually wants replacing it wont be with another 206 or indead another PSA product, PSA just dont make anything I like anymore.
#12: Re: 1.1 MPG Author: gixxerkev, Location: wiltshirePosted: Fri Jan 20, 2012 4:15 am ---- Anyway back to the thread title. If your getting 200-300 on a tank you've either got a very heavy right foot or a blocked air filter, knackered plugs, suspect MAP sensor or a dodgey fuel gauge.
My 1.4 gets 400+ to the tank so a 1.1 should get the same or better than that !!!!

#14: Re: 1.1 MPG Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Fri Jan 20, 2012 4:21 am ---- My TU3 does around 315 miles to a tank before the light comes on, then again it might be the way its driven
#15: Re: 1.1 MPG Author: tvauders, Location: DerbyshirePosted: Fri Jan 20, 2012 5:10 am ---- It depends on how, and where you're driving it. If you're doing a lot of motorway speeds between 60 and 80mph, then the 1.1 will be crap on fuel. If you're just pottering around town then you should be getting more than that.
