Can anybody recommend one for my 206?
There seems to be loads around from about £20 to hundreds!

ELM 327, its pretty basic but does the trick

maxi 509 (autel) it reads and records live data aswell

I'm thinking of getting one of these too. Was thinking perhaps something like this as I have an Android phone: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ELM...41616845d7

Is there much risk plugging such things into the car?

them units are generally cheap chinese stuff. I was tempted to get this a while back.

Hmm. Looking at that link it does make my link look a bit suspect. Wouldnt want to be plugging any knock off devices into the car so might give it a pass!

I was looking to get my own code reader as if im going to spend £20 each time I would be aswell getting my own if they are cheap enough.
