#1: Clutch rattle, or something? Problem has come back.... Author: panzer360gti, Location: UKPosted: Tue Jan 24, 2012 1:29 pm ---- I posted some time ago that I had a high pitched rattle that can be heard even from inside the car, 206 GTi 137, V reg.
I cannot work out where this is coming from, but it happens only when moving, in all gears, appears to stay the same pitch no matter what speed I am, and is stopped by pressing the clutch in, once the clutch is up it does not re-appear straight away, but maybe 5 seconds later?
This is not a rattly engine cover like I thought before, but does anyone have a solution or idea?

#4: Re: Clutch rattle, or something? Problem has come back.... Author: panzer360gti, Location: UKPosted: Wed Jan 25, 2012 7:59 am ---- havent tried knocking it out of gear, but will, and if the clutch has gone, the car has, not spending another penny on it, got another car to use.
anybody want some pug parts?

Why does no one want to fix there car when a wearing part goes?

pressing the clutch in also takes the power off.

The sound does go when in neutral though, and I have got a dodgy cv boot on the drivers side, might have a look at that tomorrow just in case, as the clutch operates completely normally

Must have been catching on rotation.
