Brown one is for the cooling fan / aircon
Some 206's have 2 coolant temp sensors fitted, others just need the 1.
#11: Re: Coolant Temp Sensor - Where ? Author: kandlbarrett, Location: SwindonPosted: Fri Feb 03, 2012 5:40 pm ---- My daughter has a 1.4LX. The green sensor is engine coolant to ECU. Disconnect this and revs will rise but gauge is not affected.
There is a blue sensor screwed into the head below and slightly behind that green sensor and just below the air intake pipe. It is a bugger to see and get at! This blue sensor sends it's signal to the temperature gauge.
It is NOT the blue sensor that is easily visible in your picture.
MrBSI is correct about the brown sensor. That switches the cooling fan on at low speed when the aircon is switched on.
