#34: Re: project transformation Author: customized206, Location: EDINBURGHPosted: Sun Apr 18, 2010 3:06 pm ---- started doing a few bits today while we were quite
seam sealed the inner arches were they join the new rear qtrs
and left to dry for 2 hrs then over coated with some white gravel tex to seal the new qtr panels
then we moved back to the bonnet and had that ready for primer
so we applied 2 coats of poly primer
guide coat then left over night to dry
will then be dry sanded with 120/180/240 then primed with 2k primer
rear van windows in poly too
getting there now still waiting on side skirts then into primer then into paint
.................more to come as it happens ..............

#41: Re: project transformation Author: customized206, Location: EDINBURGHPosted: Wed Apr 21, 2010 3:25 pm ---- well after a week and a half the side skirts are here
so il get them fitted up and smoothed in tommor
more pics to come ....... also fitted the smooth boot panel and wow thats a s**t fitting panel so change of plan on that one too
more to follow
#42: Re: project transformation Author: customized206, Location: EDINBURGHPosted: Thu Apr 22, 2010 4:20 pm ---- WELL a word of advice
DONT BUY EBAY SIDE SKIRTS THEY ARE UBER CRAP
so after a whole week waiting on the skirts tried them up against the car
wow they were so twisted that even screws wouldnt pull straight
so after a trip to eccose and a bill of £200 later we have a set of abbes skirts....ment for a 5 dr but stuff it there on and fitted
also decided against the smoothed tailgait so bought another one
and done some modding to that lol
also got the bonnet sanded aswell one last coat of primer and thats ready for paint
its the final count down lmao
