Hi guys Smile

Was just wandering. Can headunits from other Peugeots be coded to work in a plexed 206?
Im thinking of getting a satnav display and headunit from like a 308 and try and retro fit it.

308 - NO chance.

Multiplexed 206 needs a CAN - VAN unit.

308 will be CAN - CAN

A CAN - VAN RT3 with the colour screen is the top spec for a 206.

Fair enough, but are there any that would fit?

Maybe not the whole sat nav units, but I quite like the MFDs in some newer Peugeots.

I changed my PPT-40 single line display for the multi-line PPT 40 and quite like it. Only downside is the screen doesn't display actual song info when playing music, would be nice to have artist name, song name and what not displayed on the screen. It is nice though to see a graphic when a door is not closed properly or a warning message that is actually a message not a flashing light so you know what the problem actually is. I'd love a display that gave you song info etc. but I don't think that's possible with a 206.

So you just replaced the PPT-40 single line with a multi-line one without any further modifications?

Yup, pop the cover off, unscrew old display, unclip the wire on old display and attach it to new display, screw new display back in and replace cover. Takes 2 minutes, and with this new display I not only have time, date, temp and radio info all on one screen at the same time, but I have a full working trip computer now thanks to a hidden button in the wiper stalk!

I dont need to upgrade the 206 mfd to a better 206 one unless I get the the RT3 headunit and satnav display as thats the only one above what I have.

I was interested in the 308 one as the screen has a motor in it so It can be hidden away when not in use.

The RT3 looks ace and is brilliant, just update the firmware and maps regularly like any sat nav
