#5: Re: gear box Author: Seabook, Posted: Sun Jan 29, 2012 6:44 am ---- only use 75w/80
no matter what brand. only use 75w80, if you want fancy stuff get miller or Motul, they are less than a tenner for 1 litre.
not other like 75w/90; 70w/75, 75w/140 etc.....
the PSA synchro is just picky on oil
#6: Re: gear box Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Sun Jan 29, 2012 6:47 am ---- Correct oil is less then £8 for 2 litres from any Peugeot / Citroen main dealer.
Not that anyone bothers to take any notice anymore

#11: Re: gear box Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Sun Jan 29, 2012 6:53 am ---- I've already got enough oil borrowed from old job to keep the 206 in oil changes for a good few years yet
As for gearbox oil, that can wait till clutch change time.

halford own brand?
never check their own brand oil.
#13: Re: gear box Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Sun Jan 29, 2012 7:00 am ---- Yes it's Halfords own which is perfectly adequate.

I'd much rather pay £7.88 at any Peugeot / Citroen main dealer for 2 litres.
