#1: Headlight setting problem Author: Stez, Location: GranthamPosted: Thu Feb 02, 2012 3:08 am ---- I've only recently noticed my headlight pattern seems to be all over the place.
The near side beam (on dipped) seems to only be about 20ft in front of the car where it hits the road, whereas the offside is to high to even hit the road. If I park in front of a wall the near side beam seams slightly lower than the hight of the headlight but the offside is slightly higher, obviously the further away I move the bigger the difference. My biggest problem is that I don't seem to be able to find any settings for the 206 on the net. All my other cars have had measurements etc in the Haynes manuals. I realise each light is adjustable but like I say I've got no measurements to work to.

Take it so a small local / friendly MOT station & slip the lads a couple of drinks.
Far easier to set the lights up quickly & correctly using the beam alignment setter.

Adjustor wheel on dash should be normally set to 0.

Is there a reason for this & is there owt I can do about it?
I've considered wedging something under the reflector to keep it at the highest point of its movement being as that side has seemed a bit on the low side.
There's not loads of movement but enough to make a difference to were the beam goes.

It's just a small plastic arm with a ball joint (my money is on the ball joint being missing)
