#1: GTi misfire. Author: G2iFF, Location: LeicesterPosted: Thu Feb 02, 2012 8:51 am ---- Hi guys, could probably have searched this, but havent got time, need to get my car in order, hopefully so i can drive to work tonight!
Basically last night i was driving from leics to leeds, ran perfectly fine, then on the way back, ran perfectly fine, then 1 mile away from my house as i pulled off the motorway, out of nowhere, in 2nd gear, it lost a hell of a lot of power, misfired like hell, engine management light started flashing. it still drove, but with considerably less power than usual and it ran dog rough... when i got back i turned it off, left it a minute, then started her up again, took it round the block, it ran better, but the management light was still flashing, and there was still a slight misfire..
a couple of weeks ago i cleaned the ICV, and changed the paper filter... the last week replaced the centre section of the exhaust and the back box, with a new standard one...
Its an 02 plate, gti 138
Any ideas?
