I topped up coolant level yesterday yet today The stop light was flashing my radiator top house is red hot and just wondering what it could be I had the water pump replaced just before September last year, so it shouldn't be that should it?
Any help greatly appreciated

However, if the stat is stuck completely shut the top hose should not get hot! I guess the failure may be that it doesn't fully open but that is a relatively rare type of failure.
I am not sure if water pumps fail on these, there are plastic impellar type water pumps that fail on many other manufacturers cars but I don't know enough about these engines to know if it is common failure on these but it is another item to consider.
