ABS mot....Help!!

Hi i bought a 206 1.6 xs 2000 model few month back and just put it in for a MOT.It failed because abs light wouldnt eliminate.Mechancic told me someone has removed the bulb.He now informs me my car should have discs on the back not drums... he rekons the axle has been changed and no abs to rear now.Can anyone tell me if my car should have discs on the back or not.Thanks Confused

but as far as i remember most XS has rear drum brake

ok someone has obviously disconected wires for them as there is no signs of anything.Would wires go to both back drums?

no idea as i don't have abs...

but it could be the front too, if you get the code read it should tell you which side has the problem

does abs have to have 4 wheels to work or can it still work with just front discs and rear drums?

If it works or not it is out of the question, you will need all four corners functioning to pass the mot.
