Idle Control Valve Replacement

Hi all,

I'm just about to replace my ICV- I've read that the ECU should be reset (by disconnecting the battery as per a Sticky on this site) as the ECU "relearns" the driving habits and configures the new part.

Is this true and is it necessary to do it?

Might as well.

See pre-plex/multiplex battery disconnecting procedures depending on year of your car.
