Boot motor not working
-> 206 Problems

#1: Boot motor not working Author: Simmo, Location: York PostPosted: Sun Feb 12, 2012 7:42 pm

Some times when i lock my car and then unlock it, the boot lock motor won't move which means each time i have to pull back the rear seats and push the catch along manually. This usually only happens when i haven't used the boot in 2 - 3 days so i guess it might need some greasing up??? Is this a common problem???

this happened to me before, couldn't get the boot open at all though, had to get the actuator(?) replaced

Does it make an unusual sound the times it won't open? Might be the actuator on its way out.

No, no strange noises, it usually happens when i don't use my boot in a while and can be really f*****g annoying sometimes lol. I have to keep sliding catch across manually, opposite the keyhole from the inside there a little hole with a flap so just stick finger in there and slide it across and took me like 10 mins to figure it out :/ Is it something i could go to a scrap yard and wrip out of another 206????
