Whitney's dead!
I don't mean Whitney Houston (Despite that being a massive loss) - This one is more personal!
I've owned Whitney for gone two years and despite loving her dearly, I had come to the conclusion to sell it for a bigger car.
I had modified my car in the same manner a lot of people have done, and over the years she had a lot of money and time spent on her. On saturday, I decided to return her to standard, by removing the wheels, and reverting to steels, old frosted headlights, etc.
Was driving to my girlfriend's house yesterday and was driving round a roundabout when the car started sliding, I lost control and it hit the crash barrier on the island. Sad
The new tyres I'd fitted were all legal, however were budget tyres and I'd been used to my continental Sport tyres. (Before anyone says it - No, I wasn't being badman, I was doing 20mph)
Unfortunately, It's bent the bonnet, and the struts behind the lights. The radiator and fan unit have risen up above the lights. She still drives alright, but for the money I'd spend putting her back would be more than the car's worth.

Such a shame. It really is true, you do get attached to your first car...

It's also a coincidence that Whitney Houston and my Whitney died on the same day Sad

This is Whitney's life story, from when I got her, through her modding stage, and then death Sad

Final picture before the crash...

And the crash...

She has been the perfect car - no major issues, only a 1.4 but nippy enough. Such a shame to see her go.

N.B. Lots of parts are going to be put up on here and eBay within the next few days, such as interior, alloys, SP bits and bobs and Genuine Morrette headlights.

If anyone does want it, let me know ASAP, because I'm otherwise going to be stripping it. Mechanically, she's sound - No wheel issues, no allignment issues, no warning lights - Nothing.

looking at it one way - its a good thing that you broke her while the standards parts were on, and at least you can sell the bits you took off before the incident and get a bit of money back.....though from the other side - you wouldn't have broken her if you weren't taking the mods off to sell her.

I'm in a weird way glad she crashed. I would hate to have her end up as a chav car! Would of killed me to see some chrome lexarse lights, and s***ty cardboard bodykit on her.
