#1: Slight smell in the interior [Update] Author: Daeva, Location: Athens, GreecePosted: Wed Feb 15, 2012 10:44 am ---- We' ve checked for water, we've used spray for the air con twice, it does not seem to come from the vent.
Also checked for any obvious causes (left food e.t.c).
Any ideas what it might be, or where else to look for water apart for seats e.t.c.?
Solution: Remove cat food crumbs from cabin. Last edited by Daeva on Fri May 03, 2013 6:21 pm; edited 1 time in total

Do it safely.

yes. No water accumilated.
Could the mat be just slightly damp and causing it?

#9: Re: Slight smell in the interior Author: Daeva, Location: Athens, GreecePosted: Wed Feb 15, 2012 11:32 am ---- No, I run it once every couple of months during winter for five minutes each time, so it doesn't break down.
But it's not coming from the vents.

#13: Re: Slight smell in the interior Author: Daeva, Location: Athens, GreecePosted: Fri Feb 17, 2012 2:40 pm ---- Checked everything and found two straw mats from the summer in the boot.
After I had them removed and thrown away, the smell vanished.
Thank you for the help.
Hopefully this one is solved
#14: Re: Slight smell in the interior Author: V9977, Location: Athens, GreecePosted: Thu Feb 23, 2012 2:23 am ---- I have now apologised and removed the GPS tracker from the vehicle.
#15: Re: Slight smell in the interior Author: Daeva, Location: Athens, GreecePosted: Fri May 03, 2013 6:20 pm ---- Update: it wasn't the straw mats, it was discovered that remnants of cat food (dry feed) from doing the rounds in various places, had dropped in the rear foot wells, which caused the smell again.
Problem now solved.
