A couple of weeks ago i put some new 17" wheels on with tyres the size of- 205/45R17 on my 206 GTi 138.
Ever since I've had a scraping problem from the rear, seems to be worse on the OSR. So far ive had 3 people in and it scrape's slightly, but when I have 4 people in the car, its a constant scrape.
Surely, it shouldnt be scraping?
I could be wrong but any guidance is appreciated.

I havent lowered that car at all, its completely standard in suspension and engine terms.
A 206 can only hold about 67 stone. That's means each person can't weigh more than 13.5stone.......and that is if you have NO fuel in the car at all

You could upgrade your rear dampers to something firmer in hope it prevents it scrapping?
I have 17's and have lowered the back quite a bit but I put new dampers on at the same time. Currently have 6mm spacers on the back (2x3mm)

Would 5mm make that much difference though?

gti bars might not be thicker.
all 206 run 19mm torsion bar, some gti has 19 or 19.5mm, RC use 20
