#1: 206 gear box problem Author: dunny1987, Location: DerbyshirePosted: Fri Feb 24, 2012 6:59 am ---- hi all. just purchased a 206 xsi 2002. which needs a gearbox. im struggling to find 1 so im wondering if a 307 1.6 gearbox will fit??
or a 307 hdi 1.6 box will fit as there seems to be alot of these on ebay.
any help much appreciated.

I've looked on ServiceBox for you and there aren't any specs listed but the part numbers don't cross over against each other leading me to suspect that they won't fit.

the gti box is free so its just strip 'n' swap now lol.
is there anything i sshould be aware of in advance? extra bits? seals or stuff need replacing while its out??

i am surprise it cost that much for MA box. i pick up one BE box the other day cost me less than 200 quid delivered

Peugeot did this quite alot when building the 106. they would, in nearly all cases fit a 106 engine into a 106..... Now a crazy idea would be to put a 106gti engine in a 206.....
