#1: Peugeot 206 Fuel Cap Help Author: Simon2710, Location: LeedsPosted: Fri Feb 24, 2012 3:21 pm ---- Hi, this is my first post here, so here goes....
I have just recently bought a used 2000 reg peugeot 206 GLX 1.6. My petrol cap does not lock now and I have noticed upon inspection part of the red plastic on the locking part has snapped away. I am not sure if I am just being stupid but the cap will simply not lock. I was wondering, I have one of those alloy/carbon fibre petrol cap covers so would I be able to remove that easily and put it on new one if I bought another standard fuel cap?
Many thanks in advance!

I have no idea if the barrel inside could be changed over, Maybe someone could clarify on that part. Otherwise you would have to find a replacement that comes with a key.
To remove the cover there are three notches at the back which you push in and twist, the cover should come off then.
Of course I'm assuming you are talking about a SP fuel cap and not a eBay knockoff.
