#1: Help me please lol Author: geddernley, Location: chesterfieldPosted: Fri Mar 02, 2012 7:13 am ---- Hi just fitted new engine in my 206 it's runs ok but when try and put in Gear it just looses power and won't go !! Any ideas please help .

#3: Re: Help me please lol Author: Steve180, Location: CoventryPosted: Fri Mar 02, 2012 10:46 am ---- If the gearbox isn't engaging properly its either the clutch release bearing, input shaft sleeve or (worst case scenario) you have a problem on the 1st line of the gearbox and the gears have de-toothed.
If it won't go in gear, have you checked to make sure the selector rods (old plastic one's tend to go) are on properly?
Peugeot do modified selectors now which are steel and have proper bushes on them to ensure correct fitment to the selector joints on the rod and box.
Check there first as you can see them when you open the bonnet (back of the engine, gearbox side, near the inlet manifold slightly further down.
