Recently purchased a 206 sw 2002 non runner, now running after having code re-entered (not to sure what code) after diagnostic check. However the central locking is not working with key or remote fob also interior lights stay on and tail/brake lights are on.Display also shows l/h door open.Any ideas please.

You have already answered your own question.

Central locking & interior light are both worked from the switch inside the door latch.

Sounds like the door latch is faulty.

If its just brake lights on all the time then stick your hand up behind the glovebox & clip the brake light switch back in to the bracket / reconnect the connector plug - common 206 problem.

Yes as it thinks there's a door open.

Its also why the interior light is on.

You should also get a warning beep & the interior light flashing if you drive the car.

Make sure you get the correct type of door latch!

Does your SW have deadlocking or just normal central locking?

Peugeot Service Box & look the VIN up is the quickest way.

Whats your VIN?

OR have a look, the deadlocking type have the extra motor / lump slightly sticking out near the bottom of the unit.

Normal central locking:

Your VIN = 206 5 DOOR ESTATE 1.4i 75 (TU3JP) Manual gearbox 5

Your 206 has NORMAL central locking fitted.

Part number 9135 H3 for passenger door.

Part number 9136 J1 for drivers door.

Here's one:

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GEN...27c373c54e

Heres the other one:

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peu...231a80beaf

Bit odd both have failed at the same time, are you sure both lock motors are connected inside the doors?

The car had faulty locks back in 2003 and 2006

Faulty harness in 2003, needed new locks and keys too.

Faulty locks on a multiplexed 206, never Rolling On The Floor Laughing

Mines had 2 passenger & 3 drivers side lock units fitted that I know of, I think Peugeot class them as a consumable Laughing
