As above.

Looking at maybe upgrading my lasses 206 GTI for a 207 GT so want to do a bit of research first.

Heard of engine issues around timing chain..!?

I'd have it mapped but nothing else.

That 90hp diesel would do if the GT engine is too troublesome.

There are a few issues with the engine, if you go into with your eyes open and your ready for your wallet to be raped regular then go for it, although I will say that the more tuned tend to suffer less with the problems mainly as there looked at more often to prevent the expensive ones.

From what i've seen so far there is an uprated head? or valve cover? and an uprated timing chain/tensioner...

If i bought one how much would i have to budget for this work to be done? part price? how long to do the work?
