MOT rules change on the 1st of April this year & a missing airbag or the warning light not going through the correct check sequence / warning lamp missing or on all the time will be an automatic FAIL.

Learn something new every day!
Am sure a friendly mot tester would turn a blind eye to a missing airbag if you can turn the warning lamp out. In fact i bet half of them wouldn't even notice it was missing
