at the moment i have a momo steering wheel on car. but i know in awhile it have to have a airbag for its mot. i have the old steering wheel in the shed but the wire and bit inside the boss that sits on airbag has broke. if i put old wheel on car and clip airbag on but not connect the wires up will there be a risk of the air just going off. dont want drive to mot center and air bag goes off if i hit a pothole. any help will be great.

MOT rules change on the 1st of April this year & a missing airbag or the warning light not going through the correct check sequence / warning lamp missing or on all the time will be an automatic FAIL.

Learn something new every day!

Am sure a friendly mot tester would turn a blind eye to a missing airbag if you can turn the warning lamp out. In fact i bet half of them wouldn't even notice it was missing Laughing
