basically i was putting my wheel nuts on and as im a clumsy heavy handed d*ck i over tightend it and stripped the thread from inside my drum brake :/ does anyone know is this easily repairable, i.e a trip down the scrapyard to look for a new drum brake cover??

cool beans Smile and i havent got a tapping set so ill just get a new drum i guess, are they easy to fit?

Wouldn't thought it'd re-tap easily if you've ripped the thread out, surely it's widened the hole :S

I'm running on three nuts on the rear and have been since tuesday or wednesday. Just take it steady and you shouldnt have any problems, but get it replaced ASAP. And keep checking the other three are tight Smile

Av bin on 3 bolts since december just keep wheel trims dirty police woant want to touch it not like they can say anything the nut is in just the head is snapped off so in theory am still running on 4 lol

To put a new drum face on is dead easy, takes may6be 10 mins if thats and i would pop down the scrappy with your car and get another, job done!
