On a side note I have done the same. However I had a spare flat seated wheel bolt similar to the correct ones although it has got a double thread; as in similar to those where it has a thicker one at the back.

Went on like it was made for it and went up tight. I will change the drum when I get around to it but I have had no problems so far.

i did the same thing on the front 2 months ago,but not with one bolt,with two of them!!!,drove with 2 of them two weeks hehe:),but better change the drum,like lee wrote they are 2 diffrent types of break system lucas and bosh,and im sure you have to change bearing as well

Some of the 106's only came with 3 nuts in the wheels from factory Razz

The amount of people on this thread openly admitting to driving around with 1 or more defective wheel bolts truly shows the mentality of the idiots that are on here Rolling Eyes

It doesn't surprise me though, there are some real idiots out there, they shouldn't be allowed to own a car let alone drive one, no wonder the young'uns whinge when their insurance premiums are so high !!!!

i remember last yr one info member has a wheel fly off his car because he hasn't tighten it up properly

My GTi had 4 in the space of 6 months last year, but i know the lad is an absolute tool and wont spend money on cars, so will have just got the cheapest parts possible that are allready on there last legs.
