#1: How to soundproof front doors Author: Scusbucked, Location: FinlandPosted: Fri Mar 09, 2012 1:19 pm ---- Need some help with soundprofing my doors. During the winter the spikes on the wintertyres are quite loud on the motorway.
I have looked into some options, but was wondering what to do about the thin foam piece that is attached to the door. Will that need to come off? Someone told me its there mainly to absorb moisture, hence not sure whether I should lay the soundproofing coat on top of it.
Your help is much appreciated.

you can get it there or cheaper on ebay but be sure to replace the thin foam you strip off or all you will hear is the thin bit of metal thats attached to the lock rattle good luck with this
