#1: Update + Some Advice Author: Nathaniel206, Location: WolverhamptonPosted: Fri Mar 16, 2012 9:55 am ---- WEll i posted awhile ago about my car having a missfire, replaced the coilpack and it went away (or so i thought) Put £20 fuel in and it came back.
Anyway took my car to a garage (Family friend mechanic) and he said Valve is burnt out after a pressure test, cylinder 1 (his excat words) Quoted me £300 to fix so i left my car with him since tuesday.
Phoned him today to find out how it is going and now he said the following
" Did another compression test and it seams fine, which would say its not the valve so i put an order in for a fuel injector, should have it by 10:30 tommorow"
What i didnt tell you is that my Girlfriends dad turned up at the garage to see my car still in one peice, we think he was only going to change fuel injectors but charge me for valve replacement, what do you guys think and should it really take this long??

Won't take long at all to change the injector, but maybe he's waiting on the part to arrive, or working on other cars.
See what he charges you in labour costs. If he puts down 3hrs work then you've been bummed.
