160-170bhp for a GTi 180 is about right. The lads weren't disappointed with that it was a the fact that some where RR'd about a month earlier with a remap and IK at 188bhp and now the figures are back to normal... There's a slight suspicion that the ECU could be re-adapting to the way the user drives or they have been conned at another garage by false readings on a dyno.
Interesting figures and ideas on the ecu's relearning after the remaps.
What was the outcome,do the ecu's relearn or was it just poor mapping and an optimistic roller. There are plenty of them out there.
#7: Re: Good old google Author: Dillon, Location: KentPosted: Sun Mar 18, 2012 6:31 am ---- I beleive the outcome was that the ECU's can adapt but Paul at RST used some software on them to stop this from happening, Tarmac terrorist managed to get some very healthy figures from haveing Paul work on his ECU iirc.

Looks like hes the one to remap mine then.
What figures did Tarmac terrorist get and what mods did he have?
