Its a piece of cake the only hard this is getting the bars out if they haven't been removed before.

Jack the back end up and put it on axle stands, remove torx bolts and washers on the end of the torsion bars, measure the distance from the hub to the arch and take note. Spray on plenty of WD40 and maybe even some Deox-c might work wonders here, remove the bars and adjust the arms to match the drop you want (if you want 40, raise them 40) put a jack under one of them to hold it in place whilst you put the bars back in.

If you have the tools its not as hard as everyone makes it out, there's a more detailed guide on here by Ape in the how-to section. Garages tend to ask about £100 for this thing, and I've seen some of them do it the click method which will ruin things in the long run.

Wears the bearings out faster

Why doe it wear the bearing more, I though it was just not a accurate, My car is lowered on the front but I still need to do the rear again after getting a new axle. I don't drive the car much or far so its not a problem for now.

Anyone in sussex wanna offer their services for my rear axle for a 35mm drop? Smile

Because it's not properly removed and it unsettles the bearings and lets water get in as it breaks the seal.

If you come down to suffolk i can do it?

£75, but no promises on how long the axle bearings last with an excessive drop

Any drop they wear faster, peugeot designed it to be at that height for a reason Laughing

If you dont have much knowledge about cars, oh go dont attempt it, its not an easy job when it goes wrong

My car feels alot more direct in handling, I can put it into a corner without the rolling feeling that unsettles the car.
Its personal preference if you do and again with how much you drop.

I used to travel 250 miles a week when i first started my job and it didnt bother me being that low. It was HIGHLY uncomfortable compared to standard 206's but it was worth it

She handled like a shed in corners but i didnt really mind

I had mine done less than a year ago but already I can't get the bars out. Its a straight forward job though. Personally I would say replace the bearings anyway for what its worth then you don't have to worry about the axle f*****g up one day.
