Peugeot fixed the incorrectly fitted rear window / rusty tailgate c**k up years ago, are you sure that is the original / factory fitted tailgate?

Do you know what the problem was with the fitting? I have bought another boot from a 2000 plate.

Something to do with the rear screen fitment on a certain production timeframe of tailgates, always rusts at the bottom of the opening along the edge with the glass.

Mine is a 53 and I don't have a spot of rust on the bodywork which is good considering its on 110k. Some slight corrosion spotting under the boot but all good apart from that.
