Emailed Pug1Off earlier today to see about some prices as I'm thinking of getting the car lowered sometime this year and got a price list back and was wondering if you guys think its a fair price.
Thoughts?

#7: Re: well priced or not? Author: tomd0801754, Location: MoscowPosted: Thu Mar 29, 2012 1:53 pm ---- Even the depths of Carlisle offered to do it for £70 and fit the front for an additional 50/60. IIRC.

Oh f*****g hell lol. Best start looking somewhere and make a few phone calls
What springs and dampers have you got on at the mo, because those Bilstein dampers aren't cheap
#9: Re: well priced or not? Author: jimjam19927, Location: PortsmouthPosted: Thu Mar 29, 2012 1:58 pm ---- OUCH!!! I got Coilovers, rear dampers, torsion bar adjusted, drop links, top mounts all done for £90 (same guy as meady)

What coilovers and how low on rear?
#12: Re: well priced or not? Author: tomd0801754, Location: MoscowPosted: Thu Mar 29, 2012 2:08 pm ---- Janspeed. There is a coilover review thread somewhere. However, if I was doing it again I would use springs. As unless on Track or constantly changing the height, coilovers are wasted.
Rear - about 50mm originally. Then my axle went boom (Nearly 12 years old) and I haven't re-lowered it yet, so still at standard GTi height.
#13: Re: well priced or not? Author: Mikey2uk, Location: StevenagePosted: Thu Mar 29, 2012 2:09 pm ---- Thats expensive, springs and lower the rear £90 same guy as Meady and Jimjam.
If you fancy the journey and it would be worth it go to KrisB top guy
#14: Re: well priced or not? Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Thu Mar 29, 2012 2:45 pm ---- I wouldn't lower the rear of a 206 for less than £90 and I don't have to make a living out of it.
#15: Re: well priced or not? Author: spike_202, Location: West midsPosted: Thu Mar 29, 2012 4:02 pm ---- i dont think thats bad at all 2bf thats to take off your front struts and fit springs put them back on then lower the rear good couple hrs work and i rate PUG1OFF very highely as i had all my work done there and im very pleased with my project
#16: Re: well priced or not? Author: DeadEyePaul, Location: Rugby,WarwickshirePosted: Thu Mar 29, 2012 6:04 pm ---- I know someone in Daventry,Northampton that can do it for you. He fitted my clutch and changed the oil for me for 100. He is willing to do more work on supply and fit basis (you supply he fit)
#17: Re: well priced or not? Author: kurosagi01, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Fri Mar 30, 2012 12:55 am ---- Your better off supplying the parts yourself it be cheaper and then go to a garage to fit them.
Also do 1.4 use coilover or they use dampers/shocks?

ALL 206 use springs and dampers, as standard.
Either can be fitted as an upgrade. All 206s also use the same suspension points. I.e are interchangeable. However, for example, if you buy springs designed for a 1.1 and fit them to a 2.0hdi, they will drop an extra 10-15mm due to the weight of the HDi lump.
#19: Re: well priced or not? Author: marc206, Location: Bourne, LincsPosted: Fri Mar 30, 2012 12:27 pm ---- What are the next best dampers down to Bilsteins?
#20: Re: well priced or not? Author: spike_202, Location: West midsPosted: Fri Mar 30, 2012 3:54 pm ---- I had spax on my escort but I've only ever had the B6z on the pug as it was a fit and forget type of mod for me I've had them for around 4 years now and still feel the same as the day they were fitted 2bh
