#1: Throttle Position Sensor and Brake Contact Switch Author: Stanton, Location: GuildfordPosted: Fri Mar 30, 2012 1:21 pm ---- Hi,
Had the ecu checked for fault codes and it came back with 'Throttle Position Sensor' and 'Brake Contact Switch'. Not sure of the exact codes but this is what came up on the machine.
What is the best way of fixing these problems? The car is a 2002 52 plate multiplexed 2.0 hdi, however I also have a 2001 pre-plexed 51 plate 2.0 hdi which I am going to scrap in the next week or so as it has a load of problems that are too costly to repair. Can take any parts I need off of the second car, just need to make sure they're cross-compatible by checking part numbers of course.
Any advice on how to fix these codes would be appreciated. Friend has a garage near me where the only cost would be parts, no labour charge, though if I can take the parts off the other then I'd prefer to do it myself and not be a hassle to him.
Cheers,
Stanton
