dont forget though that old codes are stored until they get cleared, so some of those may not be relevant anymore

exactly what antknee said, even though you can replace the part and fix the problem you may still have to clear the code Smile

the problem where your car cuts out is probably to do with the injector circuit code

anyone with a code reader can clear them so it's up to you who you go to Smile

thanks for your reply, the mechanic who has dealt with the car has cleared the EML but 5 mins after it comes back on again?? (when i say clears?) i mean with a hand held diagnostics machine?? sorry to sound dumb, but i havent a clue, i had an old corsa before this car? and didnt have all these ecu's ect Confused

If it comes back on it means the problem hasn't been fixed or that there is a another fault stored.

response to taking the car back?? Having major problems with them, 1 they are 10 miles away from were i live, the way the car is at the moment wouldnt want to risk driving there of fear of it cutting out on me, i have called them 2 weeks ago, boss is on holiday???" nothing we can do until he is back", me and my friend payed them a suprise visit on Monday of this week!! no boss?? said he was still away?? but would make long distance call "get back to you" he said, still no call?? thursday my friend paid them another visit, they agreed to pick the car up today and get it fixed?? called first thing to ask what time they are coming?? to be told the bloke who arranged this with my friend isnt in till lunchtime, so called back to be told the boss is back tomorrow??? and to speak with him, they are just being total a**e****s, taking advantage of a woman Crying or Very sad
i have decided to get full Diagnostics on it?? depending on problems, will get a quote i will be asking them to either fix the problems, i get it done and bill them or if it is th ECU? FULL REFUND!!! if they dont comply? well SALES OF GOODS ACT 1979 , Already spoken to Trading Standards, of which have advised me!!! I will take them to court if i have too, Hell have no fury like a woman scourned Lol, also the issue with VOSA, as issues which maybe connected to failure of MOT is possible? may i add THEY DONE THE MOT!! say no more Rolling Eyes

Oppsss,so if the passed off a non road worthy car you could have a legal case with a BIG pay out. I do think garages pary on women drivers to just agree with whats been said,as this happens with my moms discovery so I jumped in it went down to the garage and parked it infront of the owners car and said 'are you going to sort it correctly or are you staying here the night' needless to say he put back on the ramps. It was an exhaust problem that they said they fixed and didn't.

ive had similar issues in the past with dealer being d1ck5, as long as the law is on your side, best thing to do is say fine you had your chance to put it right, now im taking it to peugeot (obvioulsy will cost alot more), then sue them for the full cost of a dealer repair, and damages, stress, not being able to take your son out if an emergency popped up (not making light of your sons condition but if its your only car would you rely on it if you absolutly needed it). then take them to the cleaners.

problem is with some gagages/owners they will just tow/move the car out the way, you cant do anything about it as technically your causing an obstruction and your in the wrong.

Thanks Ghosty for your advice Smile , peugeot dealer has it as we speak, going to take print out with me tomorrow to them!! if its major? i want a refund, if fixable? like you said will give them a chance to repair or pay for repair? I have already spoken to trading standards, whom have advised me so far, somehow i dont think im going to get any joy out of the used car dealer i had the car from?? he has made no effort to contact me!! i have had to do all the chasing, but hey I DONT GIVE UP THAT EASILY, I will fight there backsides, will keep you posted on any progress Smile x

I had a bit of a problem with my dealer, my 206 had a fault that I noticed 10 miles later while first driving it, something to do with the electronics!

He took it to a garage and called me back 3 days later saying that the fault was sorted, I picked it up and drove it 20 meters and the same problem happened! Took them another 3 days and replaced part of the loom and it has been fine ever since Smile

Good luck with you car and dealer!
