#3: Re: PUG HORROR Author: Antknee, Location: ManchesterPosted: Thu Apr 05, 2012 8:26 am ---- dont forget though that old codes are stored until they get cleared, so some of those may not be relevant anymore
#5: Re: PUG HORROR Author: lmilligan, Location: HertfordshirePosted: Thu Apr 05, 2012 9:01 am ---- exactly what antknee said, even though you can replace the part and fix the problem you may still have to clear the code
#6: Re: PUG HORROR Author: soul2soul, Location: west midlandsPosted: Thu Apr 05, 2012 9:05 am ---- someone on here had the same problems as me? they discovered it was a wiring problem?? does anyone think this could be the case with mine? im scared to take it to dealer because i have heard some horror stories on here that people have had ecu's changed ect and still there problem persists?? i only bought the car nearly 5 weeks ago from used dealers, i went to them asking for my money back, they have offered to fix it but i dont trust them, they are suppose to be collecting the car from me on saturday with there machanic in toe, so wanted advise if anyone else has any suggestions?? thanks for replies so far, much appreciated, im a woman and havent a clue about cars.....................
#7: Re: PUG HORROR Author: soul2soul, Location: west midlandsPosted: Thu Apr 05, 2012 9:10 am ---- how do i go about clearing codes, because my machanic cleared the engine management light 2 mins after driving the car it came back on again??? would it be best for me to take it to a dealer or should i say the people who i purchased the car from?? somehow i dont think they will though???
#8: Re: PUG HORROR Author: lmilligan, Location: HertfordshirePosted: Thu Apr 05, 2012 9:10 am ---- the problem where your car cuts out is probably to do with the injector circuit code
#9: Re: PUG HORROR Author: lmilligan, Location: HertfordshirePosted: Thu Apr 05, 2012 9:18 am ---- anyone with a code reader can clear them so it's up to you who you go to

thanks for your reply, the mechanic who has dealt with the car has cleared the EML but 5 mins after it comes back on again?? (when i say clears?) i mean with a hand held diagnostics machine?? sorry to sound dumb, but i havent a clue, i had an old corsa before this car? and didnt have all these ecu's ect
#11: Re: PUG HORROR Author: lmilligan, Location: HertfordshirePosted: Thu Apr 05, 2012 9:26 am ---- If it comes back on it means the problem hasn't been fixed or that there is a another fault stored.
