#1: Need some help my car cuts out!!!!! Author: Markzedd, Location: PrestonPosted: Thu Apr 05, 2012 12:30 pm ---- Hi, I've recently bought a 1.4 04 and we've just noticed that every so often it cuts out.... It's like someone has turned everything off, it only seems to happen when you come off the accelerator it doesn't do it whilst driving along.
Some times I can catch it before it cuts out, you can just hear the blowers stop working for a brief second. If it does cut out it starts perfect straight away...any help would be great..

Off the battery negative.
The wire may look fine but it doesn't matter. When you have that problem; use a jump lead (or make something suitable) to earth the battery negative. then try it. I found the manifold worked fine.
That will clarify your problem.
