#6: Re: anti roll bar ball joint Author: 206racer, Location: derbyshirePosted: Sat Apr 07, 2012 8:17 am ---- is that not the drop links?
#7: Re: anti roll bar ball joint Author: Dan-, Location: BiggleswadePosted: Sat Apr 07, 2012 8:23 am ---- Right basically you have the anti roll bar drop links with ball joints on either ends with a nut and you have to keep the ball joint from spinning while undoing the nut, so you have to put either a 5mm allen key or T30 torx bit in the end with a 17mm spanner on the nut, keep the socket held while turning the nut
hope this helps
#8: Re: anti roll bar ball joint Author: 206racer, Location: derbyshirePosted: Sat Apr 07, 2012 8:26 am ---- so is it the drop links im actually changing and not the anti roll bar?
#9: Re: anti roll bar ball joint Author: Dan-, Location: BiggleswadePosted: Sat Apr 07, 2012 8:31 am ---- i would have to imagine so, the explanations for drop links vary from tester to tester, at the price they cost i would just change them anyway, i also changed my anti roll bar bushed last month and they only cost me 10 pair from peugeot so they are a cheap change, again a very simple job to do, only need an inverted torx socket and a 18mm spanner to hold the nut above the sub frame
#10: Re: anti roll bar ball joint Author: 206racer, Location: derbyshirePosted: Sat Apr 07, 2012 8:37 am ---- I had the drop links changed last year, surely they cant have gone already, will get someone to take a look before i start and thanks for the pics and notes.
#11: Re: anti roll bar ball joint Author: Dan-, Location: BiggleswadePosted: Sat Apr 07, 2012 8:40 am ---- in the years and a half ive had my 180 I've gone through 2 sets, last time i went direct though peugeot
were the ones you fitted cheap ones?
#12: Re: anti roll bar ball joint Author: 206racer, Location: derbyshirePosted: Sat Apr 07, 2012 8:43 am ---- I didnt do the last ones a garage did it so dont know.I suppose the garage would have bought them from europarts or somewhere like that and not peugeot.
#13: Re: anti roll bar ball joint Author: Dan-, Location: BiggleswadePosted: Sat Apr 07, 2012 8:46 am ---- ah okay, normally euro cars parts are okay, i like to use there parts when peugeot want to much and have had no problem with anything from there,
#14: Re: anti roll bar ball joint Author: 206racer, Location: derbyshirePosted: Sat Apr 07, 2012 8:50 am ---- If i can find receipt out might be able to get them changed for free,i presume you get 12 months warranty. If not will go to peugeot and buy from them.
#15: Re: anti roll bar ball joint Author: 138Andy, Location: NottsPosted: Sat Apr 07, 2012 8:54 am ---- get under the car and push the drop link up if you hear it clicking means there's play in them and need replacing
i always buy my parts from peugeot then just pay the garage labour to fit them that way you know they will last and your not getting skiffed
