#1: software update Author: efeash, Location: herne bayPosted: Tue Apr 10, 2012 7:13 am ---- Hi Guys
i just called peugeot to book my w reg 206 GTI in for an MOT and the guy was asking me if i wanted to book it in for an interim service too as they was doing an offer on both, when i asked what exactly an interim service included he said a visual inspection, oil and filter change and a check for software updates for the car.
my question/s are im gong to service the car anyway myself as i know what im doing but......
as the previous owner of car for the past few years has had it serviced at a small garage, is it worth me getting it done as there might be a few updates the car is missing.
and also do peugeot still release updates for the 206 and if so how often ???
sorry if this has been asked before.
Cheers
Ashley

Don't be surprised if there isn't one though, and don't expect a great deal from the BSI if there is one for that.

There may be some software updates on the system, depends on if / when your car was last updated.
As for how often they release software updates, thats only when they fix a bug in the previous software version.
Not sure if a non plexed BSI can get software updates
Engine ecu should be able to if there are updates on the system.
