Would a passenger side drive shaft fit the middle of the driverside driveshaft on an hdi 2.0? i just bought a passengerside driveshaft and was going to split the driverside one then use it, im just wondering if anyone knows if it would fit? plus would the driveshaft from this car fit mine hdi?

once you split the longer shaft in between, i can almost guarantee you will need new bearing before you can put them back together.

so i would just pick up the correct shaft

brought it down to garage got it up on the ramp, took a look and didnt even atempt it, really could not be bothered swapping boots over etc to much of a messy job, i put my mot date forward and il have a hunt for a decent 2nd hand one, does the gti 180 have the same drive shafts as the hdi? plus after more inspection i need a fking rear wheel bearing too lol

some of the 2.0 HDi build share the same shaft as gti and 180gti.
