#1: Locking wheel nuts *SOLVED* Author: jayz206gti, Location: Tamworth PostPosted: Fri Apr 13, 2012 7:03 am
    ----
Just went to remove the front wheels so i could do a quick brake service and pad change only to be met with these.....

I knew as soon as i saw them they would be trouble as i had them years ago on one of my old 205's! Just as i thought, the metal just warped and now i will have to get them drilled out!! Awesome!

Can anybody tell me if these will fit as a replacement once the others are removed? Any help would be appreciated as i now have to go into work for a meeting.

Just stick some normal bolts in. If anybody really wants your wheels then there not going to stop anybody just slow them down.

there the same as i have mate just 4 in each wheel there not locking nuts as they can be opened with a bigish sized allen key.
as lee said locking nuts wont ever stop people from stealing your wheels just slow them down if some one wants them mate they will pop off your centre cap and take them off that way Smile

That's either a recess (which isn't removable) or a challenger alloy (307). All depends on the width.

have always been advised to buy another locking cap key - if your using original peugeot one's then you will find a number on the key, just take to peugeot and they will order you another

when i bought my car it had alloys on, went to change the alloys the other day to find it had 4 locking wheels nuts!!! 2 different sets went to the boot found the thing to undo them only to see that it was rounded!!! gutted i spent hours trying to get them off in the rain, in the end i just took it to garage and let them deal with it which they did Very Happy never getting them put on again. as someone said if someone wants to steal them they will.

Got it booked in on monday. Garage will weld a bolt onto the locking nut and take them out. Not sure how much its going to cost as it depends how long it takes.

Locking bolts = McGard everytime.

You can still get McGards of without the key but it makes far to much noise Laughing

The Peugeot locking bolts are easy to remove Wink
